London, February 14, 2025 – Ricoh today announced that Ricoh's global leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change and water security disclosure have been recognised by global environmental non-profit CDP, securing a place on its 2024 A list. To realise a zero-carbon society, Ricoh seeks to reduce GHG emissions from our group companies by 63% by 2030, compared to 2015, and reduce GHG emissions in the entire supply chain by 40%, compared to 2015, by 2030. These decarbonisation goals have been certified as “1.5°C targets" by the SBT Initiative (SBTi). In addition to promoting decarbonisation initiatives within the Group, Ricoh also holds briefing sessions for suppliers and requests medium to long-term GHG reduction targets from key suppliers. Another goal is to achieve a renewable energy ratio of 50% for the electricity used in its operations by 2030, actively promoting the introduction of renewable energy sources with high additionality.

In its pursuit of a circular economy, Ricoh strives to effectively use water resources. Under the Group policies regarding water resources, Ricoh sets targets to reduce water usage below the previous year's performance and is actively working across the entire Group to achieve water consumption reduction.

In 2024, Ricoh published Ricoh Group Environmental Report, a comprehensive disclosure on climate change, resource circulation, and biodiversity. This report illustrates Ricoh's strategies and initiatives in the environmental field to all stakeholders. Ricoh will continue to contribute to solving social issues and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through its business activities with its business partners and customers.
